In a world where fast fashion often overshadows timeless craftsmanship, Qaushey emerges as a beacon of authenticity. Founded by Jaspreet, Qaushey Handlooms is a multi-faceted brand that takes pride in hand block printing, transforming fabrics into home linen and decor solutions. Qaushey has quickly gained recognition in both B2B and B2C markets, offering pure handloom textiles that cater to discerning customers who value tradition and quality.
The Product: Tradition Meets Innovation
At the heart of Qaushey’s offerings is the art of hand block printing. This traditional technique, combined with high-quality fabrics such as cotton, linen, and silk, brings a touch of authenticity to every piece they create. Qaushey stands by its promise of “No Blends, No Compromises” by ensuring all their products are made from pure, natural fibers, avoiding the use of synthetic materials like polyester or rayon etc. Their product range has pivoted from women’s wear to home textiles, including rugs, carpets, custom-made furniture, and décor pieces. Each item is hand-crafted in small batches, ensuring uniqueness and a direct connection to the artisans who make them. The brand’s attention to quality and craftsmanship has earned them a strong reputation in both domestic and international markets.
The Team: Collaboration and Growth

Qaushey’s growth has been driven by a dedicated team of four. Jaspreet, the founder, has a vision to take India’s crafts to the world while keeping the environment in mind. Piyush leads marketing efforts, ensuring the brand reaches the right audience and builds strong B2B and B2C partnerships. Tanay and Radhika manage the brand’s social media and digital presence, sharing the stories of artisans and bringing the beauty of hand block printing to a wider audience.
The team’s synergy has been instrumental in Qaushey’s success, with each member contributing their expertise to build a brand that values both craftsmanship and sustainability. As Jaspreet reflects, “A lot of credit for our progress in the last few months goes to my team. Together, we’ve built a brand that resonates with consumers and partners alike.”
No Blends, No Compromises
From the outset, sustainability has been a core principle at Qaushey. Jaspreet’s concern about the textile industry’s impact on the environment led him to make eco-conscious choices in every aspect of the business. Qaushey’s products are crafted from natural, biodegradable fibers, avoiding synthetic blends that contribute to pollution. Their commitment to sustainability extends beyond materials. Qaushey works directly with artisans, supporting their livelihoods while preserving traditional crafts. “We source directly from skilled individuals, empowering them to improve their craft and expand their market reach,” Jaspreet explains. This approach ensures that Qaushey’s impact on both the environment and the artisan community remains positive.
Adapting and Expanding
Qaushey’s journey has been marked by several pivotal moments. One of the most significant was the decision to shift from women’s wear to home textiles. In May, they launched their home furnishings line, which proved to be a resounding success. “We quickly realized that home textiles were our true calling,” Jaspreet shares. “It was a phenomenal day when we launched, and the success gave us the confidence to expand into other areas.” The brand’s ability to adapt to market demands has been a key driver of its growth. With a focus on custom-made pieces, Qaushey has built strong relationships with both the B2C and B2B vendors, taking on end-to-end projects that range from fabrics to custom-made furniture. The brand recently received the ODOP (One District One Product) recognition from the Government of India.
Challenges
Despite their success, Qaushey has faced its share of challenges. One of the most pressing issues is the misselling of art forms, particularly hand block printing. To combat this, Qaushey is working to educate consumers about how to recognize authentic craftsmanship, especially in a market where misrepresented products are common. Securing government grants is another challenge, as the handloom industry is capital-intensive. “We’ve bootstrapped Qaushey from the start and plan to continue doing so until our revenue stabilizes,” Jaspreet says. However, they recognize that government support would accelerate their expansion into international markets.
Association with NICEorg: A Catalyst for Growth
Qaushey’s association with NICEorg has been instrumental in their growth. “NICESamanvay was a breakthrough moment for us,” recalls Jaspreet. The event provided Qaushey with national visibility, giving them the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, government agencies, and consumers who appreciate the brand’s commitment to authentic craftsmanship. For a brand still finding its footing, the support of NICEorg has been invaluable. “It’s not easy to access the right people when you’re new to the business,” Jaspreet explains. “But through NICEorg, we’ve gained a network of potential partners and customers who believe in what we do.”
Expanding with Purpose
Looking ahead, Qaushey has ambitious plans for growth. Their primary focus is on expanding into international markets, with the U.S. as their next big target. Qaushey is now a registered LLC in the USA in the state of Michigan. The brand also plans to explore other markets, including the UK, Australia, and Israel. With a strong foundation in place, Qaushey is well-positioned to become a leader in both the B2B and B2C home textile markets. Their vision is clear: to continue offering culturally rich, sustainable, and artisanal textiles while providing unbeatable customer service.
As Jaspreet puts it, “Nothing beats consistency. Just showing up ensures 50% of the work is done, and success is just a by-product of that.”
