NICEorg Partners with IICD and IIM-Udaipur for “Crafts Business Incubator Programme”

NICEorg fosters an ecosystem for cultural entrepreneurs to build successful, profitable and valuable business enterprises, based on Indian cultural heritage and know-how. NICEorg works with partners to enable this ecosystem.

As part of this effort, NICEorg was part of the the  “Crafts Business Incubator Programme“ (CBIP), co-organized by the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur, and IIM-Udaipur that was launched on 21st February 2022. 

The program focuses on building business capabilities of early stage craft entrepreneurs through guidance from faculties, experts, industry leaders and mentors. 

The launch event included two very exciting NICE Aarohana sessions. The sessions can be viewed here. 

1. Suresh Bhagavatula, Prof-Entrepreneurship at IIM Bangalore delivered a Keynote Address on Understanding Craft Businesses. 
2. This was followed by three presentations and panel discussion with successful craft entrepreneurs – Disha Singh, Founder, Zouk | Kunal Sachdev, Managing Director and CEO, Caravan Craft | Sujay Suresh, Co-founder and CEO, Zwende. 

Commenting on this partnership, Toolika Gupta, Director of the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design said, “It is my absolute pleasure to be associated with like minded individuals and to promote cultural entrepreneurship in India. We really hope to bring India’s soft power to the forefront.”

Over the next three months, NICEorg will be hosting various mentoring workshops and webinars for craft entrepreneurs, as a part of the “Craft Business Incubator Programme.”
