Bengaluru: The Network of Indian Cultural Enterprises (NICE) has invited early and growth stage entrepreneurs for its first business idea competition as the non-profit company aims to create an ecosystem for cultural products and entrepreneurs.
The contest, named NICE Aarohana Business Plan Competition, will receive applications or business ideas in five categories — health, wellness and beauty; food and beverages; home decor and furnishing; fashion and accessories; and tourism.
The last date for submitting applications is 26 January.
The cultural entrepreneurs will receive mentoring opportunities and can network with industry experts as part of the competition.
“These cultural entrepreneurs need an ecosystem much like the information technology industry has today. NICE will create this ecosystem,” NICE co-founder Sanjay Anandaram said. “We aim to also bring the knowledge on design, branding, product-market fit, digital platforms, business models for such entrepreneurs to grow.”
